Easily one of the MOST ICONIC medallions to be blessed by Luang Pu Tim of Wat Lahan Rai, Rayong.
Known as “RIAN SEMA PAET ROB” which was made in celebration of Luang Pu Tim’s 96th Year Old Birthday. The proceeds of distributing this batch of medallions went wholly to the construction of “Sala Phawannaphirath” within the compound of Wat Lahan Rai.
The consecration ceremony of this particular batch of medallions were very, very grand. The consecration ceremony took around 45 days to complete and was extremely well known for many documented miracles among numerous devotees of Luang Pu Tim.
There were a few material variants made and this featured piece is made of NAWALOHA.
One of the rarest material variants across the entire batch of Rian Sema “Paet Rob” Batch.
In fact, it is the rarest non-precious metal & non-colored enamel medallion made in the entire batch!
1 OF ONLY 400 PIECES MADE IN THE WORLD!
It was said that the NAWALOHA material variant is only made of the “Kammakahn” (Temple Committee Members) and their family members, hence only 400 of such pieces were made!
The condition of this medallion is nothing short of exceptional!
The entire front and rear facade of the medallion is encompassed by a very even and uniform texture!
The iridescent hues are commonly known as “Piu Fai”, translated as “Fire Skin”, among the community!
It is a chemical reaction that occurs when the alloy and the chemicals on the surface of the medallion comes into contact with the atmospheric components in the air which results in an absolutely unique texture.
It is a natural oxidation process that takes decades to occur, and a prime evidence for industry veterans to properly ascertain that it is in the most original condition without signs of wear, damage or any types of human intervention.
Medallions that are worn, damaged, washed or refurbished will not exhibit naturally occurred textures like the item featured today.
