Known as “Rian Roon Tawai Pahktakhan”, or translated to the “Meal Offering Medallion” and they were made in Year 2501 B.E. (1958 A.D.).

It was made in celebration of Luang Por Sodh receiving the Honorary Royal Title of “Phra Mongkhon Thepmuni”.

In celebration, the disciples and temple committee members organized a merit making event, distributing and offering food and drinks to the many monk and novices.. It is also known as the “offering of alms”. It is a highly meritorious act in Buddhism as it allows lay people to practice generosity on one side, and acquire merits, on the other side, from supporting Monks on their path to enlightenment.

Luang Pu Sodh was the abbot of Wat Pak Nam Phasi Charoen from 1916 until his death in 1959. He founded the Thai Dhammakāya school in the early 20th century. As the former abbot of Wat Pak Nam Phasi Charoen, he is often called Luang Pu Wat Pak Nam, meaning “the Venerable Father of Wat Pak Nam”. He became a well-known meditation master during the interbellum and the Second World War, and played a significant role in developing Thai Buddhism during that period. He is considered by the Dhammakaya tradition to have rediscovered Wicha Dhammakaya, a meditation method believed to have been used by the Buddha himself.

Extremely collectible and we are near certain this is the ONLY PIECE IN SUCH PRISTINE CONDITION to be acquired in Singapore at this very juncture!

Truly a masterpiece soaked in rich history of Buddhism and Thailand’s amulet heritage!

INCLUSIVE OF A CUSTOM MADE SOLID GOLD OPEN/CLOSE CASING!
