This particular batch of Luang Por Sothorn amulets were blessed in grand consecration ceremony that took place in Year 2508 B.E. (1965 A.D.).

Known as the 2nd Issue Phra Kring Image of Luang Por Sothorn made. The 1st Issue being made in Year 2500 B.E. (1957 A.D.). Price difference of these two batches are significant but being made in the “same era”, it makes the Year 2508 B.E. 2nd Batch featured today a very attractive proposition!

There are a few general mould variants made but this piece is the TOP TIERED Variant. It features a very close resemblance to the original 1st Issue Year 2500 B.E. pieces, which makes this particular variant very sought after! Known as Pim Nah Yai “A”, which translates to “Large Facial Features ; “A” Variant”.

The image of Luang Por Sothorn is one of the most revered Buddha Images in the entire country of Thailand. History of the image dates back to centuries ago in the Kingdom of Ayutthaya. It is one of the Buddha Images that survived the invasion of the Burmese and was found to be floating down the Ping River, one of the two main tributaries of the Chao Phraya River.

Luang Por Sothorn amulets are highly revered for its efficacy. It is the preeminent Buddha Image for countless businessman and people from all walks of life to pay respect to and to acquire blessings!

The condition is amazingly beautiful for an amulet made nearly 60 years ago! The original black oxide plating is immaculately preserved and glimmers with an iridescent hue due to the natural oxidation of the chemical components coming in contact with the atmospheric particles.
