This particular batch of medallions were made in commemoration of a holy monk that lived centuries ago.
The name of the holy monk is Luang Pu Phueak of Wat Saleeko, located in the province of Nonthaburi.
Luang Pu Phueak is a legendary figure to the locals, akin to Luang Pu Thuad to the locals of South Thailand. He never made an amulet in his lifetime hence this commemorating batch happens to be the official 1st Issue of his image!
According to records, Luang Pu Phueak was born in approx. Year 2299 B.E. (1756 A.D.) and passed away in approx. Year 2405 B.E (1862 A.D.) at the age of 106.
It is known as one of the TOP TIERED MEDALLIONS (Rian Yod Niyom) of Thailand. Blessed in a grand ceremony that lasted 3 YEARS with many top tiered holy monks of the era present in the ceremony!
