The condition of this beautiful medallion made nearly 30 years ago is absolutely stunning! Absolutely no signs of wear or damage!
Iridescent hues are found scattered across the entire surface of the medallion!
The iridescent hues are commonly known as “Piu Fai”, translated as “Fire Skin”, among the community!
It is a chemical reaction that occurs when the alloy and the chemicals on the surface of the medallion comes into contact with the atmospheric components in the air which results in an absolutely unique iridescent/rainbow texture.
It is a natural oxidation process that takes decades to occur, and a prime evidence for industry veterans to properly ascertain that it is in the most original condition without signs of wear, damage or any types of human intervention.
Medallions that are worn, damaged, washed or refurbished will not exhibit naturally occurred textures like the item featured today.
The image of Luang Pu Tim is made of SOLID GOLD and it is what’s known as a GOLD MASK. It is essentially a very thin piece of gold that is placed on top of the medallion. Being made of gold makes it extremely prone to blunt impact and many pieces were damaged over the years, but this particular piece is almost flawless!
