Easily one of Luang Por Kasem’s most iconic and sought after medallions. Intricately designed and known to be one of the most life-like medallion that bears the image of Luang Por Kasem!

This batch of medallions were made for the purpose of distributing these holy medallions to the soldiers serving in the “Military Province 7”.

Military provinces of Thailand (มณฑลทหารบก) are subdivisions of the Royal Thai Army. Each military province governs and supports all military units and personnel in its area. Several military provinces are grouped into a military region. A military province can cover one or more civil provinces.

Currently there are 35 military provinces, grouped into 4 military regions in Thailand.

7th Military Province refers to :

Chiang Rai Military County: Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son and Lamphun.

Lampang Military County: Lampang.

Designed by one of the top artists of Thailand “Chang Mongkhon Kasem Mongkhon Chareon”, and was blessed in a grand ceremony in Year 2518 B.E. (1975 A.D.).

A total of 4 different material variants were created:

1. Gold – 64 pieces made in the world
2. Silver – 2,518 pieces made in the world
3. Nawaloha – 10,000 pieces made in the world
4. Copper – 12,518 pieces made in the world

This featured medallion is made of SILVER and there were differentiated into two variants:

1. Blok Niyom (Popular Mould Variant)
2. Blok Tamada (Conventional Mould Variant)

This featured piece is the “Blok Niyom” variant which has only a very minor percentage of pieces made out of the entire batch 2,518 pieces made in the SILVER material!

We conservatively estimate that less than 30% of the 2,518 pieces (approximately 750 pieces) made are in this “Blok Niyom” Variant making it a very rare encounter and highly sought after by collectors all over the world!

The condition of this beautiful piece is excellent and very, very original! No signs of wear or refurbishment. The entire texture gleams radiantly with an iridescent glow known as “Piu Fai”!

It is a chemical reaction that occurs when the alloy and the chemicals on the surface of the medallion comes into contact with the atmospheric components in the air which results in an absolutely unique iridescent/rainbow texture!

Highly, highly collectible and we believe that it is among one of Luang Por Kasem’s highly undervalued medallions! SOLID GOLD pieces are commanding a price range of anywhere from 1,500,000 Baht to 2,500,000 Baht (approximately SGD$60,000 to SGD$100,000) and this beautiful piece is priced at only a small percentage of the price commanded by the SOLID GOLD variant!
