Presenting a truly outstanding example of the highly regarded Rian Por Kae, an amulet that holds deep cultural, historical, and symbolic significance within the Thai amulet industry.

Issued in conjunction with the annual Wai Kru ceremony at Wat Phra Piren in B.E. 2513 (1970 A.D.), this medallion was thoughtfully designed by the Artist Companion Relief Society, an organisation established to support and uplift artists within their respective disciplines.

The medallion features the revered image of “Por Kae”, literally translated as “Old Father.” Within Thai cultural tradition, Por Kae is recognised as the master teacher of all artistic fields, encompassing painting, music, dance, theatrical arts, and traditional craftsmanship such as puppetry. His image represents the foundation of artistic lineage and serves as a symbol of gratitude and respect towards teachers, both past and present.

For practitioners within the arts, paying homage to Por Kae is not merely symbolic, but an essential expression of reverence for knowledge, discipline, and the passing down of skill across generations.

This particular issue was consecrated in a grand ceremony, bringing together a distinguished assembly of highly revered monks. Among those present were:

2. Luang Pu Tohk – Wat Pradu Chim Plee
3. Luang Por Koon – Wat Ban Rai
4. Luang Por Pae – Wat Pi Kul Thong
