ONE OF THE TOP TIERED SINGHA OF LUANG POR MUI!
We are extremely proud to present this beautiful and highly distinctive SINGH NGAH KAE “YOK KAH” (WEALTH-FETCHING VARIANT), blessed by the highly revered LUANG POR MUI OF WAT DON RAI, dating back to approximately 2508 B.E. (1965 A.D.)!
With an estimated 60 YEARS OF HISTORY, this remarkable creation represents a fascinating category of traditional Thai sacred collectibles, admired for their distinctive craftsmanship, cultural symbolism and association with one of Thailand’s respected Buddhist masters.
The SINGHA,ย or mythical lion, is one of the most recognizable sacred creatures in traditional Thai culture.
Renowned for its majestic appearance and commanding presence, the Singha has long symbolized COURAGE, STRENGTH, AUTHORITY AND PROTECTION.
Within traditional Thai beliefs, Singha amulets are also associated with leadership, confidence and the ability to overcome adversity.
Our featured specimen belongs to the distinctive NGAH KAEย tradition, specifically the YOK KAHย or raised-leg variant, commonly associated by collectors with wealth-attracting symbolism.
The raised-leg posture gives this particular Singha an unmistakable character, distinguishing it from more conventional standing Singha designs.
A beautiful representation of traditional Thai artistry and symbolism!
This magnificent Singha is traditionally attributed to Luang Por Mui of Wat Don Rai, a highly respected Buddhist monk whose sacred creations remain appreciated by collectors of traditional Thai amulets.
Unlike conventional Buddha-image amulets or metal medallions, these individually fashioned Singha figures possess an entirely different collecting appeal.
Their intricate carving, distinctive posture and individual characteristics make each specimen particularly fascinating to study and appreciate.
And our featured piece is certainly no exception!
What makes this particular piece even more special is that it is the ACTUAL SPECIMEN FEATURED IN A COLLECTOR’S REFERENCE BOOK!
Within the world of high-end amulet collecting, one of the most elusive achievements is to own the exact piece chosen for publication in an important reference book. Such pieces become permanent points of reference for collectors, scholars, dealers, and future generations alike. They transcend the role of being merely another example of an amulet and become part of the documented history of the issue itself.
In many respects, their significance is comparable to an artefact housed within a museum collection.
Once published, the specimen serves as an enduring benchmark for authenticity, originality, preservation, and study. It becomes a recognised standard by which future examples are frequently compared.
This distinction alone elevates an already exceptional amulet into an entirely different category of collectability.
A BEAUTIFUL PIECE WITH ITS OWN DOCUMENTED COLLECTING HISTORY!
ย
INCLUSIVE OF A CUSTOM MADE SOLID GOLD FRAMING!
