ONE OF THE TOP TIERED AND MOST ICONIC LUANG PU THUAD AMULETS!

Among the countless Luang Pu Thuad amulets we have had the privilege of handling over the years, very few have captivated us quite like this remarkable specimen.

The first thing that immediately commands attention is its condition.

Without hesitation, we can confidently say that this is one of the most beautifully preserved examples we have encountered in a very long time. Every important detail remains astonishingly sharp, the surfaces have matured gracefully through the passage of time, and the overall presence of the amulet is simply breathtaking.

It is truly a piece that must be appreciated in hand.

Officially known as Phra Luang Pu Thuad Lang Nang Sie, meaning “Luang Pu Thuad with Sacred Writings on the Rear,” this celebrated issue was created in B.E. 2505 (1962 A.D.) and consecrated during a grand three-day blessing ceremony presided over by Ajahn Tim, the revered master whose role in reviving the modern legacy of Luang Pu Thuad is recognised throughout the Thai Buddhist world.

The sacred inscription engraved on the reverse is the revered Katha of Luang Pu Thuad, reading:

“Na Mo Poh Ti Sa To”
“A Kahn Ti Ma Ya”
“Yi It Pa Ka Wa”

This sacred invocation remains one of the defining characteristics of the Lang Nang Sie issue and has become instantly recognisable among collectors.

The batch itself was produced in two principal mould sizes:

Pim Yai (Large Mould)

Pim Lek (Small Mould)

Each mould was subsequently classified into numerous sub-variants according to subtle differences in mould characteristics.. Details that have become the foundation of advanced Luang Pu Thuad collecting today.

The featured specimen represents the PINNACLE of the entire issue.

Known affectionately among collectors as the “Tua Tor” variant, this highly prized Pim Yai example derives its name from the clearly visible Thai letter “ท” (Tor) found on the front of the amulet. This seemingly modest characteristic has long been recognised as one of the defining identifiers of the rarest and most desirable mould within the entire B.E. 2505 Lang Nang Sie series.

Although the total production of the Lang Nang Sie issue exceeded one hundred thousand pieces, only a very small minority exhibit this distinctive “Tua Tor” characteristic. As a result, the variant has become one of the most sought-after Luang Pu Thuad amulets, consistently commanding strong interest among advanced collectors.

The enduring popularity of Luang Pu Thuad requires little explanation.

More than four centuries after his lifetime, his name remains synonymous with Thai Buddhism and the Thai amulet industry itself. Even those with little knowledge of amulets are likely to recognise the name Luang Pu Thuad.. A testament to the extraordinary legacy left behind by this legendary monk.

Throughout generations, Luang Pu Thuad amulets have become especially renowned for their association with protection during travel and in times of danger. Countless personal accounts have contributed to this enduring reputation, making his amulets among the most widely worn throughout Thailand across every generation and profession.

Among Thai devotees, one well-known saying continues to be passed down through the years:

“Undertakers rarely encounter victims of serious accidents wearing a Luang Pu Thuad amulet.”

Whether understood as an expression of deep faith or a reflection of generations of personal experiences, the saying beautifully illustrates the profound confidence devotees continue to place in Luang Pu Thuad’s compassionate protection.

For collectors, however, this particular specimen offers even more.

It combines the most sought-after mould variant of one of the most iconic Luang Pu Thuad issues ever created with an extraordinary level of preservation rarely encountered today. Every important feature remains beautifully defined, while the untouched surfaces exhibit the rich, naturally matured character that serious collectors strive to acquire.

Historically significant and exceptionally preserved.

And widely recognised as the top-tier variant of one of Thailand’s most celebrated amulet issues.

A truly remarkable example that would undoubtedly become the centrepiece of even the most discerning Luang Pu Thuad collection.

INCLUSIVE OF A CUSTOM MADE SOLID GOLD OPEN/CLOSE CASING!
