We are proud to present one of the most extraordinary recent acquisitions in our collection, a piece that needs little introduction among serious collectors of Luang Por Kasem’s amulets.

This is the legendary “Rian Sirimongkhon,” more prominently known in the collecting community as “Rian Rakang,” or the Bell-Shaped Medallion. It is widely acknowledged as the most iconic medallion ever created by Luang Por Kasem and is regarded as one of the few elite, million-baht-class amulets within his entire catalogue.

Consecrated in a grand ceremony in B.E. 2516 (1973 A.D.), this batch marked a pivotal moment in the history of Luang Por Kasem’s amulet creations. The distinctive bell shape was unprecedented at the time and would go on to influence countless subsequent designs. This medallion is widely regarded as the breakthrough piece that propelled Luang Por Kasem’s medallions into industry-wide prominence.

The official name “Sirimongkhon” conveys the meaning of “conferring of blessings.” But when asked why he chose this unique bell shape, Luang Por Kasem remarked that he wished the bearer of this medallion would be as “Dang” (a Thai word meaning both “loud” and “renowned”) as the bell of the temple. That vision has undoubtedly materialized, both in the fame of the medallion itself and in the reverence held for it by collectors.

Only two material variants were produced for this batch:

This phenomenon occurs when the alloy surface undergoes a chemical reaction with the surrounding atmosphere, resulting in a texture that is not only aesthetically stunning, but also a clear hallmark of originality. It is physical proof that the amulet has never been polished, refurbished, or tampered with in any way.

Such naturally occurring surface features are among the most trusted signs of authenticity and originality for seasoned collectors and are rarely found in this degree of perfection.

This is, in our view, a museum-grade artifact. It represents a rare convergence of historical importance, unmatched aesthetics, top-tier material, and preservation in its most pristine form.
