EMBEDDED WITH MANY HOLY MATERIALS!

This featured piece is known as a “Roop Tai” and it is literally a photograph of Luang Por Kasem.

They were developed using techniques, materials and machinery from more than 50 years ago hence it’s extremely difficult to recreate something similar along with the natural aging of the photo paper and ink used in this particular piece!

Known as very holy and sacred objects because most pieces made will have holy items embedded on the back of the photograph. They were usually made by temple committee members for the sake of distributing to their friends and family members.

This particular piece was blessed in approximately Year 2506 B.E. (1963 A.D.). What is amazing about this piece is the holy materials found on the back!

The whitish powdery like substance is actually holy powders made by Luang Por Kasem! The “Thai Flag” styled ribbon and the pink ribbon are actually materials used in many consecration ceremonies by Luang Por Kasem. Finally, there is many strands of “Gae Sah” found as well. “Gae Sah” are hairs of Luang Por Kasem kept during the frequently shaving of Luang Por Kasem’s head. These holy belongings are never disposed of as they are considered sacred belongings of holy monks. Locals place extremely great importance in the possession of such holy belongings.
