Rian Trai Maad 1st Issue – Luang Por Pae – Year 2512 B.E. – Made of SILVER (Temple Committee Variant)

Known as Rian Trai Maad Roon Rek.. One of Luang Por Pae’s highly prominent and sought after batch of medallions.

Blessed by Luang Por Pae for 3 months during the Buddhist Rain Retreat which is a three-month annual retreat observed by Theravada practitioners. Taking place during the wet season, the rain retreat lasts for three lunar months, usually from July to October.

For the duration of rain retreat, monastics remain in one place, typically a monastery or temple grounds. In some monasteries, monks dedicate the rain retreat to intensive meditation. The rain retreat tradition predates the time of Gautama Buddha. It was a long-standing custom for mendicant ascetics in India not to travel during the rainy season as they may unintentionally harm crops, insects or even themselves during their travels.

This beautiful piece is made of silver and it is very very rare! It is not an everyday occurrence to chance upon such a magnificent piece! This featured piece is NOT THE CONVENTIONAL VARIANT! It is the Temple Committee Variant and it was only distributed to the temple committees members!

The silver variants are extremely rare as only a extremely limited number were produced. To find a silver piece is an uphill task, and to locate one made in SILVER yet in such a pristine condition is equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack. 

As spoken, the condition of the amulet is nothing short of amazing! Pristine is an understatement! The overall texture isextremely well preserved with a bluish tint found on the surface due to the natural way of oxidation in silver.

It is a piece we highly recommended to be an addition to any discerning collections and we firmly believe that it is highly undervalued at this juncture!
