The beauty of this medallion is mind blowing, period. The contrast of the solid gold image of Luang Pu Krum against the amazingly vibrant colored enamel backdrop is nothing short of magnificent!

To have colored enamel on a medallion is beautiful but they are very fragile. Most pieces have one form of defect or another, that was sustained either during the manufacturing of the medallion or the handling of the medallion. In short, to chance upon a piece that is FLAWLESS, is something extraordinary!

Blessed in a grand ceremony in Year 2537 B.E., on a very auspicious day known as “Sao Har” in Thailand’s culture. The word “Song Narm” literally means sprinkling of water and that is in reference to the culturally significant action of cleansing the Image of Lord Buddha on an auspicious day. This batch of medallions were made in commemoration of the event that took place within the temple grounds of Wat Wang Wa, Rayong.

Many can attest to it, due to their personal experience, as to which is the holy monk the locals point towards when visiting the province of Rayong. Those who have yet to visit the province of Rayong would think that Luang Pu Tim of Wat Lahan Rai the preeminent holy monk that locals would think of, but that is not quite accurate.

Luang Pu Krum of Wat Wang Wa is actually the most well known holy monk of the province of Rayong among the locals due to many personal interactions with Luang Pu Krum and the people living there.

Luang Pu Krum ordained as a novice since he was 20 years old and passed away peacefully at the ripe old age of 100 years old in Year 2540 B.E. (1997 A.D.). Known as the Holy Father of Klaeng, Rayong Province.

This is an extremely collectible piece that will be cemented as one of Luang Pu Krum’s most beautiful medallions ever made in time to come.
