For the uninitiated, this medallion looks just like any other random medallions.. But for us connoisseurs, this featured piece represents one of the MOST IMPORTANT, MOST SOUGHT AFTER AND MOST RECOGNIZED “BUDDHA IMAGE” MEDALLIONS in the entire Thai Amulet Industry!

Known as “Rian Phra Phutta Chinnaraj Roon Rek (1st Issue)” and this was made in Year 2460 B.E. (1917 A.D.)! That’s more than 100 years ago! This batch of medallions were blessed in an extremely grand ceremony that was participated by many TOP TIERED holy monks and most importantly, presided by the TOP TWO HOLY MONKS of Thailand: Luang Pu Suk of Wat Pak Klong Makam Thao, Chainat and Luang Por Ngern of Wat Bang Klan, Phijit.

These two holy monks mentioned above are among the GREASTEST OF THE GREAT of all throughout Thailand! Amulets confirmed to be consecrated by these two GREAT HOLY MONKS command extremely high prices, from upwards of millions of baht, due to their immense collector’s value and rarity!

This batch of TOP TIERED BUDDHA IMAGE medallions are differentiated into different material variants:

1. Medallions made in SOLID GOLD
2. Medallions made of SILVER
3. Medallions made of COPPER

SOLID GOLD pieces are known to command prices upwards of more than 10,000,000 baht (approx. SGD$400,000).

This featured piece is made in SILVER and it is the 2nd most sought after material variant after the SOLID GOLD pieces! Not only is it made of the SECOND RAREST material variant, it also features the VERY RARE “Har Taew” mould variant at the back of the medallion!

The word “Har Taew” is literally translated to “Five Lines” and it is referring to the number of sentences found on the back of the medallion. The 5 sentences found on the back of the medallions reads:

“Ti Ra Ruek”
“Ti Ma Nai Ngan”
“Na Ma Sa Kahn Phra Phutta”
“Chinnaraj, Mueang”
“Phitsanulok”

It is translated to, “Commemoration of the individuals attending the holy event of worshipping the Lord Buddha Chinnaraj, City of Phitsanulok.”

The condition is spectacular for a SILVER medallion made more than 100 years ago! SILVER is known one of the SOFTEST metals and for the medallion to retain the intricate features of the Image of Lord Buddha Chinnaraj and the 5 sentences behind is absolutely astounding! Again, we must emphasize that this batch of medallions were made more than 100 years ago!
