The image of Luang Por Sothorn stands among the most revered and historically significant Buddha images in the entirety of Thailand.

Its history traces back centuries to the ancient Kingdom of Ayutthaya. According to longstanding historical accounts and local tradition, the sacred image was one of the few Buddha images to survive the Burmese invasion of Ayutthaya and was later discovered floating downstream along the river system connected to the great Chao Phraya River. Since then, Luang Por Sothorn has become one of the most deeply venerated Buddhist images in Thailand, attracting devotees from every corner of the country.

Throughout generations, Luang Por Sothorn amulets have been especially respected for blessings associated with prosperity, smooth progress, protection, and success in one’s undertakings.
