Luang Por Jahn of Wat Toong Fhier is known to be one of the highly prominent monks of South Thailand. He is also extremely recognized to be highly established in cultivation and Dharma. His fame attracted many individuals to learn from him, and one of his students is none other than Ajahn Khunpan.

Born in Year 2453 B.E. (1910 A.D.), and ordained at the age of 20, Luang Por Jahn seeked tutelage under many holy monks of South Thailand and completed Dhutanga or “Thudong” (over all 14 provinces of South Thailand), which is one of the thirteen austerities or ascetic practices most commonly observed by the practitioners of the Thai Forest Tradition of Theravada Buddhism:

All Forest Monks will observe at least one of the “Thudong” austerities. The dhutanga austerities are meant to deepen the practice of meditation and assist in living the Holy Life. Their aim is to help the practitioner to develop detachment with material things including the body.

Luang Por Jahn passed away in Year 2532 B.E. (1989 A.D.) and his holy body remained intact with no signs of decomposition. His holy body is housed in a glass coffin in Wat Toong Fhier until today.

This featured amulet is nothing short of magnificent! Extremely rare with only 105 pieces made in the world! Every piece is serialized and this piece is number 69 out of 105 pieces made!
