Wat Suthat Thep Wararam is Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand. It is a Royal Temple of the First Grade, one of ten such temples in Bangkok. There are a total of 23 Royal Temple of the First Grade in the entire country. Construction was begun by King Rama I in Year 2350 B.E. (1807 A.D.). Further construction and decorations were carried out by King Rama II who helped carve the wooden doors, but the temple was not completed until the reign of King Rama III in approx. Year 2391 B.E. (1848 A.D.).

The image of this amulet is so prominent in the industry that numerous amulets of other temples soon followed to distribute medallions made in similar designs!
