Easily one of Luang Pu Tim’s most iconic medallions ever to be made by Luang Pu Tim and a HOLY GRAIL piece many aspiring collectors seek to one day be able to have a piece in their collection!
This particular batch of medallion is known as “Rian Chareon Pon Lhang” and they were blessed in a very grand ceremony that took place in Year 2517 B.E. (1974 A.D.).
The word “Chareon Pon” literally translates to “Flourishing Prosperity” and it was Luang Pu Tim’s wish for anyone who bears this medallion to be blessed with a great flourish of prosperity in their lifetime!
There were a few material variants made:
1. SOLID GOLD
2. SILVER
3. NAWALOHA
4. COPPER
5. LEAD
This particular featured piece is made of COPPER.
The 1st impression of anyone landing their sight on this particular piece is how amazingly well preserved it is despite being made more than 50 years ago!
The overall texture, which is immaculately preserved, is the obvious STAR OF THE SHOW!
The rainbow-ish texture is commonly known as “Piu-Fai” in the community. It is a chemical reaction that occurs when the alloy and the chemicals on the surface of the medallion comes into contact with the atmospheric components in the air which results in an absolutely unique iridescent/rainbow texture.
It is a natural oxidation process that takes decades to occur, and a prime evidence for industry veterans to properly ascertain that it is in the most original condition without signs of wear, damage or any types of human intervention.
Medallions that are worn, damaged, washed or refurbished will not exhibit naturally occurred textures like the item featured today.
All important features of the medallion are highly distinctive which is highly uncommon as the majority percentage of pieces are mostly worn and damaged! To encounter a piece of such excellence is definitely not your everyday occurrence!
