Known as the “Anusorn Roi Pee” (100-Year Commemorative) Batch, this important issue was created to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the passing of Somdej Phra Phutthachan Toh, the legendary creator of the Phra Somdej amulet and one of the most revered monks in Thai Buddhist history.

Featured here is the highly desirable Phra Somdej Pim Kanaen, made of SILVER.

This historic batch was consecrated in B.E. 2515 (1972 A.D.) during one of the grandest consecration ceremonies ever organised in Thailand. The ceremony was held under royal patronage and was graciously attended by the King and Queen of Thailand, reflecting the immense importance of the occasion.

More than 100 highly revered monks of the previous generation participated in the consecration ceremony. Such a gathering of spiritual masters is rarely witnessed and further cemented the significance of this remarkable issue.

The importance of this batch extends far beyond the grandeur of its consecration.

Historically, the Phra Somdej amulet has almost always been created using sacred powder compositions. The Anusorn Roi Pee Batch marked a significant milestone, as it was among the earliest Phra Somdej issues produced using metallic alloys rather than traditional powder materials.

More importantly, this was the first time Wat Rakang Kositaram, the original temple where Somdej Toh created the Phra Somdej amulet, officially produced a Phra Somdej in a material other than powder.

As such, this issue occupies a unique and important position within the history of Phra Somdej collecting.

Only three material variants were produced:

1. Solid Gold
2. Silver
3. Nawaloha

The featured specimen belongs to the highly sought-after Silver variant.

Despite our decades in the trade, we have encountered remarkably few examples. Compared to the more commonly seen Nawaloha pieces, Silver variants are exceptionally difficult to source and are seldom encountered in today’s market.

The condition of this particular specimen is equally impressive.

A highly decorated competition piece, it has achieved three separate 1st Prize Awards in major amulet competitions.. Events renowned for their fierce competition and stringent judging standards.

Beautifully preserved after more than half a century, the surfaces remain sharp, attractive, and exceptionally original. The overall presentation is precisely what advanced collectors seek when pursuing important commemorative issues of this calibre.
