IT IS ONE OF THE MOST COMPLETE AND MOST BEAUTIFUL PHRA PIDTA “PLOD NEE” WE HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!
It is widely recognized as one of the most coveted, most sought after and most well known Phra Pidta in the entire collection of amulets consecrated by Luang Pu Tohk! Known as Phra Pidta “Plod Nee”. The name “Plod Nee” is literally translated to “freeing oneself from all kinds of debt”.
A total of approximately 22,040 pieces were made but what you see here is not your average and conventional piece seen circulating in the market. It is known as the “BLOK REK” variant and only a very small percentage of pieces out of the entire 22,040 pieces are categorized as such!
Allow us to explain why is this piece categorized as the “BLOK REK” variant and why it is so much rarer than the other conventional pieces:
This particular batch of Phra Pidta amulets were made in the temple by temple committee members and volunteers. It was not out-sourced to other factories to manufacture. Due to the large amount of pieces projected to be made, the manufacturing was done over a few occasions instead of one single occasion. It is important to note that the mould being used to make the Phra Pidta “Plod Nee” was made of metal and was extremely prone to rusting.
When the metal mould to create the amulets was completed, the temple committee members and volunteers went ahead to create the amulets. The initial batch of Phra Pidta “Plod Nee” that were made were extremely detailed with all features beautifully imprinted as the metal mould was newly manufactured. It was estimated that there were only less than 2,000 pieces made during the first occasion of manufacturing.
These pieces were then categorized as “BLOK REK” variants by collectors many years later!
There are a few noteworthy points to differentiated them:
1. It was characterized by the material composition and colour. Usually have a much darker tone when compared to the rest of the pieces.
2. Much more distinctive with all the features much more detailed.
3. “TWO PARELLEL LINES” found flowing out of the top of the RIGHT INDEX AND MIDDLE FINGER of the amulet.
Subsequently, due to the busy schedule of temple committee members and the lack volunteers, the manufacturing of the amulets were delayed and the metal mould was kept in the temple’s storeroom. When they were finally available to continue with the manufacturing, the temple committee members realized that the mould had became extremely rusty. In order to remove the rust, they used sandpaper and other tools to scrape the rust off and that resulted the metal mould to be not as defined as what it used to be.
This scenario repeated over many occasions until the entire 22,040 pieces were completed hence the rest of the amulets were found with even shallower and less distinctive details as compared to the “BLOK REK” variants!
They were all made of of burnt scriptures and sacred materials known as Ner Bailarn. One silver takrut is embedded at the bottom of the amulet. It was blessed and soaked in holy water for 3 years by Luang Pu Tohk before the distribution of the amulets!
It was also documented that a couple of thousand of pieces were given to the Queen of Thailand. The Queen then distributed them to soldiers and police officers that were stationed at Thailand’s border and it kept many of them safe from harm with many miracles and experiences documented about how they survived bomb explosions and gunfire!
The long duration of the blessing translated to countless bearers and collectors commending its efficacy!
