Luang Por Kasem is widely revered to as one of the most respected holy monks of the Northern Provinces of Thailand. In fact, he is one of the Holy Monks of Northern Thailand that King Rama IX (King Bhumibol Adulyadej) visited most often on many documented visits! Luang Por Kasem always abides to strict cultivation to attain enlightenment. He famously quoted that a monk needs nothing other than his saffron robes and his alms bowl.

Born as a member of a royal bloodline of the Lampang’s royal family running in his veins, he gave up all material comforts for the sake of his cultivation and assistance to others.

ONLY 227 PIECES MADE IN THE WORLD!

The MOST STRIKING TRAIT of this beautiful piece is the texture.. It’s perhaps one of very, very few Phra Pidta Maha Larp made in SILVER to have such an stunningly preserved texture that is near perfectly oxidized over the decades to be able to display such a magnificent naturally aged patina on the surface!

Photos do not do this beautiful item justice. It is in fact gleaming with rainbow hues throughout the texture of the amulet. It is commonly known as “Piu Fai”, translated as “Fire Skin”, among the community!

It is a chemical reaction that occurs when the alloy and the chemicals on the surface of the medallion comes into contact with the atmospheric components in the air which results in an absolutely unique iridescent/rainbow texture.

It is a natural oxidation process that takes decades to occur, and a prime evidence for industry veterans to properly ascertain that it is in the most original condition without signs of wear, damage or any types of human intervention.

Medallions that are worn, damaged, washed or refurbished will not exhibit naturally occurred textures like the item featured today.

The silver variants are extremely rare as only a very limited number were produced. To find a silver piece is an uphill task, and to locate one made in SILVER yet in such a pristine condition is equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack.

Highly, highly collectible! Near flawless pieces like this will only get increasingly difficult to encounter as time passes by!

INCLUSIVE OF A CUSTOM MADE SOLID GOLD FRAMING!
