Being awarded the 1st placing in one of the biggest and most competitive competitions that took place this year is nothing shout of an astounding feat and a testament of how amazing the condition is for this particular piece!
This particular piece is known as Phra Pidta “Maha Chok” and it is one of the 4 important images of Phra Pidta made in Year 2518 B.E. and blessed by Luang Por Kasem:

2. Phra Pidta Maha Chok (Great Fortune)
3. Phra Pidta Maha Larp (Great Wealth)
4. Phra Pidta Sarapadee (Universal Prosperity)
There were a total of 3 material variants made for Phra Pidta “Maha Chok” :
1. SOLID GOLD – Only 9 pieces made in the world
2. SILVER – Only 500 pieces made in the world
3. NAWALOHA – Only 2,518 pieces made in the world
This particular piece is made of SILVER and only 500 of such pieces were made!
An extremely rare piece that is not easily encountered! The condition is easily one of the best we have seen!
The condition is nothing short of spectacular with the entire piece near flawlessly casted with full features and no damage! The texture is originally preserved with the casting remnants distinctively present over certain parts of the surface! Unwashed and untouched for the past near half a century!
Noticed how amazingly iridescent the entire surface looks? It is known as “Piu Fai”, or literally translated to “Fire Skin”.
It is a chemical reaction that occurs when the alloy and the chemicals on the surface of the medallion comes into contact with the atmospheric components in the air which results in an absolutely unique iridescent/rainbow texture.
It is a natural oxidation process that takes decades to occur, and a prime evidence for industry veterans to properly ascertain that it is in the most original condition without signs of wear, damage or any types of human intervention.
Amulets that are worn, damaged, washed or refurbished will not exhibit naturally occurred textures like the item featured today.
Highly undervalued in our humble opinion and a piece that we cannot emphasize on its importance and how collectible it is! It will definitely be one of Luang Por Kasem’s rarest amulets in time to come!
