Made in celebration of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX) 7th cycle (84th year old birthday).

 

The intention to not only celebrate the King’s birthday, but also direct 100% of the funds to procure medical equipment and supplies for the Royal Police Headquarters and also to support and further develop the medical and public healthcare sectors of Thailand.

 

A great amount of effort was spent on the creation of this particular batch of Phra Chinnaraj amulets.

 

The blessing ceremony was one of the grandest for a Phra Chinnaraj amulet.

A total of 3 consecration ceremonies took place:

1. Under the Bodh Gaya’s Bodhi Tree which Lord Buddha had supposedly attained enlightenment in India.

2. At the main shrine in Wat Phra Sri Rattana Sasadaram (Wat Phra Kaew), Bangkok

3. Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathart, Phitsanulok

The materials that were used in the creation of this batch of amulets were also highly sacred:

1. Sacred materials from the “Vajrayana Throne”, also known as the enlightenment stone, which was an ancient stone slab located under the Bodhi tree, directly beside the Mahabodhi Temple at Bodh Gaya. It is considered as Bodhimanda (seat or platform of enlightenment) of Gautama Buddha. The slab is presumed to have been placed at the location during the reign of Maurya king Ashoka between 250–233 B.E., at the spot where the Buddha meditated.

2. Chitralada Powder, which contains the hair of King Rama IX and other sacred materials.

3. Gold foils from the Buddha Statue of Luang Por Sothorn in Cha Choeng Sao that dates back to more than 100 years ago.

All these important details are what makes this particular batch of Phra Chinnaraj amulets so highly sought after and rare to encounter in the market.

Only 1,000 of such pieces were made and every single piece is serialized.
