Every so often, an acquisition comes along that reminds us why we have dedicated our lives to this fascinating hobby and profession.

This is unquestionably one of those moments.

Throughout our decades in the Thai amulet industry, we have admired this extraordinary cast image only through photographs and old collector references. Never once did we imagine that the opportunity to acquire an actual example would eventually present itself.

Today, that opportunity has finally arrived.

It is with immense honour that we present one of the rarest and most magnificent Luang Pu Thuad cast images ever produced.. The SOLID GOLD Variant, 1 of only 40 pieces created worldwide.

This magnificent cast image was created in B.E. 2530 (1987 A.D.) to commemorate the 60th Birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX).. One of the most significant national celebrations in modern Thai history.

The issue was crafted by one of Thailand’s foremost Buddhist sculptors of the era and consecrated during a grand ceremony attended by numerous highly cultivated monks, presided over by the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand. Such an auspicious occasion further reinforces the historical importance of this remarkable issue.

Among collectors, this batch has long been admired as one of the most lifelike and artistically accomplished representations of Luang Pu Thuad ever produced.

Every aspect of the sculpture demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship. Under magnification, remarkably fine details become apparent.. From the natural wrinkles across the face to the fingernails, veins, folds of the robes, and countless subtle sculptural elements that together create an image of extraordinary realism.

It is, quite simply, a masterpiece of Buddhist sculpture.

Each cast image also contains sacred herbal ingredients and holy materials originating from the celebrated B.E. 2497 Luang Pu Thuad issue.. Materials that were themselves blessed by Ajahn Tim, the revered master whose name is inseparable from the revival of modern Luang Pu Thuad amulets.

Like many of Thailand’s finest cast images, these pieces were produced using traditional primitive casting techniques.

Molten alloy was carefully poured into casting moulds, a process inherently susceptible to air pockets, incomplete filling, surface irregularities, and softened details. Consequently, perfectly executed examples are exceptionally uncommon, even among the already minuscule production of forty solid gold pieces.

This featured specimen stands firmly among the finest of the finest we have ever encountered.

Every important feature remains beautifully complete, while the surfaces exhibit the originality and preservation that serious collectors spend a lifetime searching for.

For us, however, the significance of this piece extends far beyond its rarity.

It represents the culmination of decades of searching.

An extraordinary acquisition that we are deeply honoured to preserve and equally privileged to share with fellow collectors.
