ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT AMULETS OF THAILAND!
What we present today stands among our proudest and most significant acquisitions to date.
Widely recognised as one of the most important commemorative amulets in the entire history of Thailand, the Rian 25 Phutta Sattawat represents a defining milestone.. Not just within the amulet world, but within the broader cultural and religious history of Buddhism itself.
This medallion was created to commemorate the 2500th Year of Buddhism, an occasion of unparalleled significance. The scale and grandeur of the ceremony remain unmatched to this day. It was, without exaggeration, one of the most monumental religious events ever organised since the establishment of Bangkok as the capital of Thailand.
The consecration was conducted under the royal patronage of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who personally presided over the ceremony. His Majesty performed key ritual acts including the lighting of the ceremonial candle, the pressing of the first mould, and the pouring of molten metal.. An extraordinary level of royal involvement that further elevates the historical stature of this issue.
The creation process was carried out through two major consecration ceremonies:
• The first to consecrate all materials used in the production
• The second to consecrate the completed amulets
Spanning approximately three months, each ceremony saw the participation of over 100 of Thailand’s most revered monks, alongside thousands of novice monks, forming one of the largest gatherings of monastic presence ever recorded for an amulet consecration.
The ceremonies were held at Wat Suthat Thep Wararam, a First-Class Royal Temple of the highest order. The event was attended not only by the Royal Family, but also by state representatives, religious authorities, and dignitaries from across the region.. Making this a truly national and international religious undertaking.
The significance of this medallion extends far beyond its origin. Over time, it has become widely regarded as a foundational piece in serious Thai amulet collections, often held within prominent households, aristocratic families, and among high-ranking individuals as a legacy item passed down through generations.
While the historical importance of this issue is undisputed, what truly elevates this particular specimen is its condition.
In our decades within this trade, we can confidently state that this is one of the finest examples we have ever encountered.
The preservation is exceptional. Details remain sharp, surfaces are clean and well-defined, and the overall integrity of the piece reflects minimal passage of time. It stands far above the typical examples seen in the market.
Further reinforcing its stature, this exact piece was awarded 1st Prize in a major scheduled competition in 2026, surpassing numerous high-calibre submissions, including solid gold examples, to emerge as the top specimen.
This distinction is not merely ceremonial. Within the collector community, such recognition serves as an independent validation of condition and overall quality at the highest level.
There are pieces that are rare.
There are pieces that are historically important.
And then there are pieces that embody both.. While standing at the very peak of condition.
This is one of them.
Without question, the Rian 25 Phutta Sattawat remains one of the most important amulets in Thailand and this particular specimen represents it at its absolute best.
A true cornerstone piece for the most discerning collectors.
INCLUSIVE OF A CUSTOM MADE DIAMONDS ENCRUSTED SOLID GOLD OPEN/CLOSE CASING!
