The image of Luang Por Sothorn is one of the most revered Buddha Images in the entire country of Thailand. History of the image dates back to centuries ago in the Kingdom of Ayutthaya. It is one of the Buddha Images that survived the invasion of the Burmese and was found to be floating down the Ping River, one of the two main tributaries of the Chao Phraya River.

History of this beautiful amulet dates back to more than 62 years ago!

Blessed in Year 2500 B.E. (1957 A.D.) and was made to distribute among the helpers and temple committee members involved in the construction of the Holy Prayer Room within the temple’s new wing.

A total of 3 generic variants were made:

1. Pim Nah Yai (Large Facial Features)
2. Pim Nah Klang (Middle Facial Features)
3. Pim Nah Lek (Small Facial Features)
