Blessed in one of the Grandest Consecrations in the history of Thailand in Year 2515 B.E (1972 A.D.).

More than 100 Great Monks of the previous generation were present during the grand ceremony which is graced by the King and Queen of Thailand! It is blessed in commemoration of Somdej Toh’s 100th Year Anniversary thus it was named Roi Pee.

A very important piece as this was one of the earliest form of Phra Somdej made using alloys as most pieces are usually made of powder!

It is also the 1st time the great temple of Wat Rakang Kositaram, the original temple to have created the Phra Somdej amulet by Somdej Toh, has made a Phra Somdej amulet in a material other than powder!

There are a total of 3 material variants:

1. SOLID GOLD
2. SILVER
3. NAWALOHA

This particular piece featured here is made of SILVER! It is one of the very few pieces we have ever encountered despite our decades of experience in this trade! Extremely rare and not an everyday occurrence to chance upon!

The condition is superb with almost no flaws sustained during the manufacturing of the amulet despite it’s very small size. Damages sustained for small amulets are amplified due to their tiny size and this featured piece is in an incredible condition bearing in mind that it was made more than 50 years ago!

The overall texture is very original with no signs of refurbishment or external intervention resulting in an originally preserved darker tone texture which is caused by reactions from the atmospheric particles over the decades.

Extremely collectible and easily one of our best recommendations for a small sized Phra Somdej amulet from one of the most well known temples of Thailand and from one of the grandest blessing ceremonies that ever took place.

Known as the “Por Por Ror” Batch and this batch of medallions featuring the image of Somdej Toh is made in celebration of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX) 6th cycle, which is his 72nd Year Old Birthday!

Notice the regal looking insignia at the back? Or you might find it familiar while walking the streets in Thailand?

That.. is known as “Por Por Ror”.. The Royal Insignia of King Rama IX, King Bhumibol Adulyadej.. One of the most beloved King of Thailand’s 200 plus years of monarchy under the Chakri Dynasty.

Proceeds received from this particular batch of medallions were channeled through various charitable causes that is closed to the heart of King Rama IX.

Blessed in a grand ceremony that took part in Wat Intharawihan, Bangkok, the home of the 32 meter tall image of Maitreya, the future Buddha.

We reckon that this batch of medallions features, perhaps one of the most lifelike image of Somdej Toh on a medallion. Every detail of the medallion is amazingly crafted.
