Known as Roop Mern Pump “Koan Rakang” and this batch of amulets were blessed by easily one of the most prominent holy monks of the entire industry, Luang Por Phrom of Wat Chong Kae, Nakhon Sawan!

Who is Luang Por Phrom? He is a holy monk that resides in the Nakhon Sawan Province. Most of his life is spent ordained as a member of the Sangha and doing good while cultivating.

He passed away at the age of 91. That was more than 40 years ago. His body is currently housed in a glass coffin. The remarkable thing is that there are no signs of decay. None at all. Not only that, his nails and hairs are growing little by little every year! It is a widely known fact that he has since became an Arhat (he who gained insight into the true nature of existence and has achieved Nirvana).

This particular batch of amulets were made to raise funds for the construction of the “Mondop” of Wat Chong Kae. The “Mondop” is also known as the “Mandapa” and it is a pillared hall or pavilion for public ceremonies or rituals.

There are a total of 3 different material variants made:

1. Made of Brass (Ner Thong Lierng) – Only 1,000 pieces made in the world
2. Made of Copper (Ner Thong Daeng) – Only 5,500 pieces made in the world
3. Made of Lead (Ner Takua) – Only 350 pieces made in the world

This item is one of the very prominent amulets by Holy Monk, Luang Por Phrom of Wat Chong Kae.

Known as part of the “Rian Pump Khao Kwang” batch of medallions and they are differentiated into 3 general mould variants:

1. Rian Pump Roop Mern Khao Kwang Lhang Kaem Klad (Brooch Pin Variant)
2. Rian Pump Roop Mern Khao Kwang Lhang Taem (Full Back Variant)
3. Rian Pump Roop Mern Khao kwang Lhang Liab (Flat Back Variant)

This particular featured piece is the “Lhang Kaem Klad” (Brooch Pin Variant) and it is highly favored among collectors all over the world!

Perhaps the most intriguing part of the medallion would be an uncommonly seen pin featured at the back. Such variants were known to be only distributed to the temple committee members, making it very rare and very sought after.

The condition of this unique looking medallion is nothing short of exceptional! Perhaps one of the most beautiful pieces we have ever encountered! The entire surface of the medallion is extremely well preserved! Absolutely no signs of wear or damage!

This amulet is known as Rian Pump Khao Kwang Lhang Kaem Klad Ner Rakang and it was made of the remnants of the alloys from the temple bell of Wat Chong Kae. Made in Year 2516 B.E., and only 2,000 pieces of these were made. Due to the fragile nature of the material, most piece are damaged one way or another. To find a near perfect piece with the original texture well preserved like the piece featured here is a highly uncommon occurrence!

Who is Luang Por Phrom? He is a holy monk that resides in the Nakhon Sawan Province. Most of his life is spent ordained as a member of the Sangha and doing good while cultivating.

The condition is the best we have seen with the overall texture in an immaculately preserved condition! Iridescent hues are found scattered across the entire surface of the medallion!

The iridescent hues are commonly known as “Piu Fai”, translated as “Fire Skin”, among the community!

It is a chemical reaction that occurs when the alloy and the chemicals on the surface of the medallion comes into contact with the atmospheric components in the air which results in an absolutely unique iridescent/rainbow texture.

It is a natural oxidation process that takes decades to occur, and a prime evidence for industry veterans to properly ascertain that it is in the most original condition without signs of wear, damage or any types of human intervention.

Due to how prominent Luang Por Phrom was and how iconic the design of this medallion was made, many subsequent medallions followed the shape and design of this medallion and named them “Rian Jek Tarn” as well!

Only 1,500 of such pieces were made making them incredibly rare!

The condition is nothing short of spectacular! Immaculately preserved with the original BLACK OXIDE PLATING showing an amazing patina that is naturally oxidized after coming in contact with atmospheric contents!

Due to the small size of this medallion, the image of Luang Por Phrom featured in the center of the medallion is more often damaged than not. The face of the image of as small as a tiny barley grain and most of the pieces that we have seen circulating the market are badly damaged with the facial features literally indistinguishable!

BUT NOT THIS PIECE! The facial features, eyes, nose and mouth are CLEARLY DISTINCTIVE! An amazing rarity for this particular batch of medallions!

This is a highly uncommon feature as none of the pieces that were distributed from the temple are stamped but pieces that were acquired from devotees and subsequently brought back to the temple when visiting Luang Por Phrom for further blessings, were stamped with the “Temple Stamp”.

Pieces that features the original “Temple Stamp” are highly uncommon and not usually found circulating the market making it highly sought after among Luang Por Phrom collectors.

Fact: Did you know that Luang Por Phrom had passed away for more than 40 years, but the body remains largely intact without any signs of decomposition? Moreover, his nails and hair were witnessed to be growing in length over year years, requiring occasional trimming.

This beautiful medallion is known as Rian Maha Larp, also known as the Great Wealth Medallion. It was consecrated in a grand ceremony in Year 2516 B.E. in a very auspicious day known as “Wan Sao Har”.

There are 3 different variants made:

1. SILVER – 300 pieces made
2. COPPER with GOLD PLATING – 1,000 pieces made
3. COPPER – 5,000 pieces made

This featured piece is made of COPPER with 5,000 pieces made in the world. However, this particular piece is the “BLOK NIYOM” variant which makes it extremely collectible!
